Legs bent, feet standing. Move pelvis any way. Get to know what it feels like for the pelvis to be moving.
Asymmetric sitting: R leg in front. R hand holds chin.
Go around to LEFT, to lie on back.
From back, go around to RIGHT, to sit, elbow close to floor
Oscillate around RIGHT & LEFT
Attend to pelvic movement

· Individual reflection – recall something you have learnt last week; what did it feel like i.e. what was your experience of learning? Compare that to a memory of something you “didn’t learn” i.e. felt confused by, didn’t understand at all etc. What does that feel like? What is your general view of yourself as a learner i.e. main trait e.g. “I’m a slow learner; I’m a fast learner”.
· Groups of 3 – discuss these reflections and try to stay in the language of experiences not the language of a theory or cause and effect or analysis (why).

Exploration – groups of 4: come up with as many ways of doing this movement in different orientations and/or proximal to distal or distal to proximal or both moving. Teach other groups incl:
· Abduction at shoulder joint
· Flexion at hip joint
· Extension at elbow joint
· Side flexion at “trunk” i.e. in mid spine.

Talk – MF: Timing, Orientation and Action (manipulation/self-organisation/intention) Amherst 9/7/15, followed by group discussion

· What internal state do you seek when reflecting
· What environment externally?
· How does it get enacted (verbs related to reflecting)
· How do we foster it in FM (ATM/FI)

Practicum – groups of three: one in side lie (note head position and leg position); one in front and one behind
· One in front supports arm of lying person (90d flex) and takes time to establish “relationship” i.e. ways of the lying person allowing them to take the weight
· Then start carrying the arm forward in back to protract and retract the shoulder girdle
· One behind uses hand quietly to highlight carriage of scapula over chest wall (and other parts)
· Explore motion. Explore influence of timing
· Add in exploration of change in orientation of first person to carry arm in greater flexion and feel influence on scapula

Practicum – exploration in pairs:
· Pelvic clock in sitting (leaning on arms); reclined (leaning on elbows); lying (soles of feet together)
· Partner goes for ride on Iliac crests and 3 other choices as afforded by the changing orientation.

ATM – repeat above and make reversible and/or keep both hands on back of knee.

ATM – Rolling pelvis V: Amherst 9/7/80 (pelvic clock, head clock opposite clocks – how to tackle a learning dilemma; how to feel satisfied with what you do.

Discussion – Claxton 4 Rs: Reflection individually and in groups
· What internal state do you seek when reflecting
· What environment externally?
· How does it get enacted (verbs related to reflecting)
· How do we foster it in FM (ATM/FI)

ATM – Rolling pelvis V: Amherst 9/7/80 (complete in different orientations)

Practicum – groups of three: one in side lie (note head position and leg position); one in front and one behind
· One in front supports arm of lying person (90d flex) and takes time to establish “relationship” i.e. ways of the lying person allowing them to take the weight
· Then start carrying the arm forward in back to protract and retract the shoulder girdle
· One behind uses hand quietly to highlight carriage of scapula over chest wall (and other parts)
· Explore motion. Explore influence of timing
· Add in exploration of change in orientation of first person to carry arm in greater flexion and feel influence on scapula
· Take time to allow lying person to feel difference
