The educational team for this training is committed to offering a program that prepares you to be a competent and effective Feldenkrais practitioner.
The program continues the experiential tradition begun by Dr Moshe Feldenkrais. It is an exciting, experiential program in which we will utilise his materials – books, articles, videos and interviews, so that you can develop a personal sense of the man and the development of his method. The program is enhanced and developed by the experience and knowledge of the members of our teaching team. Carefully chosen to enrich your learning, they have expertise in education, the arts, physiotherapy, cybernetics and neurology. They all have extensive Feldenkrais practice experience.
Our curriculum includes a balance of learning opportunities. Engaging in the sensory-based strategies upon which the method is founded, you will cultivate the keen observation, refined sensitivity, and new ways of thinking, required when practicing the method. We will support this sensory-motor based learning with discussions, reading and projects. We are committed to creating new ways of articulating the method and further expanding its applications.
Learning is a fundamental ingredient in the Feldenkrais Method. You will have the opportunity to explore how you learn, how you enhance your learning and how you get in the way of your learning. This will help you develop the qualities of an independent learner. Members of the team will meet regularly with you to address any questions or needs and to give feedback on your progress.
We invite you to read about this Program and contact us to discuss how a Feldenkrais Training Program can benefit you.
