Norman Doige in his recent book The Brain’s way of Healing, observes that “Dr Feldenkrais was one of the first neuroplasticians.”
Discover what the Feldenkrais Method can offer you in terms of practical skills for daily use – things you can do for yourself, with family, friends and colleagues or to help your clients.
In this workshop you will have the chance to gain an understanding of what the Feldenkrais Method is, how the method may benefit what you do, practical ideas and techniques that you implement immediately and how to harness the power of neuroplasticty. At an experiential level, you will discover how improving attention and awareness can lead to improvements in movement quality, sensory perception, problem solving and body (self) image.
Whether you’re someone who spends the day wearing your shoulders as earrings, a high level performer, a parent of a child with special needs or someone who involved in helping others find comfort or improved movement outcomes, you can learn simple ideas that can be put into practice immediately.
Saturday will focus on every day comfort through to performance improvement.
Sunday will focus more on working with pain management, rehabilitation and people with special needs in relation to movement.
