There are constructive and destructive ways of doing the meaningful activities of daily life. These mindfulness-based movement workshops are designed to enable you to discern which learned habits serve you well, which habits are potentially troublesome for the body, and which limit desired improvement.
Each workshop offers opportunities to experience and practice somatic-learning methods for creating new movement habits that are more sustainable for the body, thereby fostering your personal wellness, as well as enabling you to improve abilities that are meaningful for you.
Attending to use of the hands
Dexterous, powerful, caring, expressive – these qualities, and many more, reside within your hands. Take time to attentively explore your wonderous hands; a part of ourself that’s shaped the human brain, mind, culture and the world. Becoming aware of how you mobilise your entire self to use your hands will create a profound change in yourself and everything you do.
It is important you understand that establishing new habits of action is best accomplished through regular, attentive, intentionally skilled practice. To assist you develop and maintain a vital personal practice, you’ll receive FREE audio recordings of lessons from each session in which you enrolled.
Generally these workshops are intended for people in a good state of physical and mental health. If you are experiencing medically related difficulties, or undertaking rehabilitation, please contact the presenter, prior to enrolling, to discuss your interests and needs.
