Whether you work with children or adults, you will find valuable insights and enhance your repertoire of skills.
Please join us in exploring this incredible journey of neuromotor development from birth to sitting, moving across the ground and attaining an upright posture.
Your workshop facilitators are Janet Auret and Lauren D’Arsie
Janet came from a background in working as a physiotherapist in rehabilitation where she saw many people with complex injuries and neurological problems and now in her Feldenkrais practice sees a number of children with neurological difficulties.
She says “I love working in this area as I have learnt more about neuro- typical development by being exposed to people who don’t have normal nervous systems. It has been a delight over the past two years to collaborate with Lauren in attempting to clarify some of the key moments/elements in development in order to understand more about human movement and learning.”
Lauren has a background in Neurological Rehabilitation as a Physiotherapist. She became fascinated with neuro-motor development both during and after her Feldenkrais training, which coincided with having her own children, where she was able to bear witness to the fascinating world of infant development. It was a great joy to study this more thoroughly by completing the Child’Space Method training program with Dr Chava Shelhav exploring all aspects of neuro-typical infant development both theoretically and experientially from birth to walking. Her practice consists entirely of babies and children with both typical and atypical development.
She says “It is such a delight to work with children and to find a way to connect and engage with them through learning. Collaborating with Janet has been an incredibly enriching experience, which continues to clarify and inform my practice.”
