This workshop for Feldenkrais Practitioners combines building a felt sense ( through ATM) of the way a human skeleton moves with the process of restringing a model skeleton to replicate that movement.

Commencing on Thursday evening and running through Friday- Monday during the days.

Participation is open to anyone wanting to string a skeleton .

A rearticulated skeleton that can be moved in ways that more closely reflect our human possibilities is an invaluable tool in a Feldenkrais Practice.

The structure of this workshop will follow the re-articulation of the skeleton as developed by Dr John Chester, while simultaneously exploring the structure, functional anatomy and actions of the human body. Participants will have the opportunity to experience and see functional movement of the skeleton in an experiential way, reinforcing and developing their kinaesthetic awareness that has been developed through studying the Feldenkrais Method.

What we expect to cover:

• • Rearticulation of the upper cervical spine, the occiput and one side of the skeleton
  • Functional anatomy of bones and joints 
  • ATM exploration of movements and anatomical relationships of joints 
  • Relationship of bony structure to surface anatomy

Participants may bring a previously purchased skeleton or purchase one through this workshop via our reduced bulk purchase price on A 15 skeletons.

It is possible to attend this workshop and not restring a skeleton on this occasion. This workshop will offer these participants experiential functional anatomy, skills for future re – stringing and ATM.

Restringing supplies will be provided at the workshop at a cost of $50.00.
