Jump workshop 1 and Jump workshop 2
Even Wombats Can Jump Inspired by the Jump workshop conducted by Zoran Kovich, on Sun 19th Nov 2017)
I was born close to the ground
My mother’s pouch I soon found
Mother’s milk was my favourite tipple
My BMI’s off the scale
It’s close to that of a whale
Though for my fitness I do not workout
From pouches kangaroos jump
I tried falling with a thump
It confirmed that jumping is not for me
The furry one climbed a tree
Koala said it made him free
But I do not have a head for such heights
Some flew up towards the sky
They said I should give it a try
Though when I flapped my paws I just went splat
‘Jump’ Zoran did advertise
For all no matter what size
Perhaps now that I’m more mature … perhaps
Lying sitting and tilting
In the heat some wilting
But Zoran was kind making me feel fine
Getting up and sitting down
None made to feel like a clown
It was not very far for me to move
Towards the end of the day
Our jumps we had to display
Thinking too hard so my heart was racing
Just remember the technique
Jumping did not seem so bleak
Perhaps now that I’m more mature… perhaps
I tilted as I did hop
I kept going ‘do not stop’
We all helped by cheering each other on
I pushed lightly from the ground
Into a jump I did bound
Hooray I proved ‘Even wombats can jump!’
